Melodies entrellaçades
Carles Cardelús
Melodies entrellaçades was born as an artistic project in 2013, with the desire to experiment with the fusion of the voices of sopranos Sara and Maria Bañeras. The sisters deliberately play with the mixture of roles and achieve a remarkable rapport at an interpretative, timbral and musical level, which allows them to multiply the range of expressive resources of their interpretations. In their concerts, they have had the collaboration of magnificent pianists, such as Esther Vilar, José Ramón Martín, Alessio Coppola or Abraham Espinosa.
Their repertoire includes popular and unknown duets of various genres: Lied, chanson françasie, English art song, cançó catalana, opera, zarzuela, oratorio, musical, etc. The duet has performed successfully in various locations in Catalonia and the Valencian Community: among them, Barcelona (Centre cívic Can Déu, Casa Elizalde, Centre cívic Sagrada Família, Festival Música als Parcs, etc.), Valencia, Badalona, Terrassa, Orpesa de Mar, Palamós, Rubí, St. Cugat del Vallès or Caldes de Malavella.
“Wir Schwestern zwei, wir schönen,
So gleich von Angesicht,
So gleicht kein Ei dem andern,
Kein Stern dem andern nicht.”
